location during a journey
how to allow it and what naiss does while recording your journey.
naiss needs your location to start and record a journey. when your phone asks, choose "while using the app".
- allowing location while using naiss is enough to record a journey. "allow always" is optional: if your rides get cut short, go to settings, ride settings, and turn on what reliable gps lists.
- location is only used while a journey is active. we do not start new tracking from a closed app.
- once the journey has started, tracking continues with your screen locked so we can record the route and its distance correctly.
- when you end the journey, naiss stops recording your location. you can also change the permission in your phone settings.

what if i blocked it?
open your phone settings, find naiss, tap location, and choose "while using the app". then return to naiss and start the journey.
do i need to allow always?
it is not required. if tracking stops with the phone in your pocket, go to settings, ride settings, and turn on what reliable gps lists (on android that includes battery and notifications). that makes your phone less likely to close naiss during a ride.
