apps that pay you to share a car with the energy bonus (CAEs): which one to choose
we pay the bonus and you get a bigger share. the costs, with no commission.

someone sends you an app that "pays you to share your car". then another. and another. they all promise the same thing and nobody knows which one to download.
before you choose, one thing almost nobody explains: when you share a car there are two different kinds of money.
- the energy bonus. sharing a car saves energy, and that saving is certified with CAEs, energy saving certificates. energy companies buy them, and the app pays you your share. it doesn't come from your passengers. with naiss both get paid: the driver and the passenger.
- the cost of the trip. the fuel and what the car wears. you split that between you.
two different things, and in both you'll notice which app you chose.
the energy bonus: look at how much reaches you per km
every app sells the same thing, the same certified saving. what changes is how much reaches you. compare it like this:
- per km and passenger. it's the figure everyone understands.
- what's been paid, not what's promised. if an app doesn't show what it has already paid, you have nothing to compare.
- in euros, and net. a discount isn't money. and if they tell you a figure and take a commission when you cash out, the real figure is what's left. with naiss, what you see already has our share taken off.
- the transfer, separate and in the open. the only thing taken off when you cash out is the fixed fee the bank charges us for each transfer: a few cents. we don't hide it in the sparkie price. we show it to you before you request the payout, and since it's fixed, the more you build up, the less it weighs. (when and how you get paid)
with naiss you get a bigger share of the saving, and here's why:
- we keep less, and our share never goes up. the more people share rides with naiss, the less each ride costs us, so that share comes down and more reaches you. (where the money comes from)
- no cushion. each batch pays you what it was really worth, with nothing knocked off just in case.
- everything in the open. what we've paid, batch by batch and per km, is on the payout calendar. and per kWh, the unit the saving is certified in, more reaches you than we've seen other apps pay: here's the comparison, with its figures and its date.
the cost of the trip: no price per seat and no commission
this is where sharing a car usually gets awkward. putting a price on a seat turns the driver into a chauffeur. and nobody enjoys asking for money as people get out of the car.
here's how we do it:
- naiss does the maths. it works out what each trip costs, fuel and wear included, and splits it by the km each person rode. whoever gets out earlier pays less. (how the cost is worked out)
- it's noted down in a tab. no asking as people get out: you settle up when it suits you.
- pay however you like. bizum, revolut, bank transfer, cash. we keep the account, but we don't step into the payment: 0 commission, 0 friction.
- karma. with people you'd never ask for two euros, count it in coffees, beers or whatever you like.
- and if it was a favour, you forgive it. the account goes back to zero.
and the trip, better
sharing a car isn't only about money. it's about who you ride with.
- games for the road: impostor, icebreaker or wavelength.
- matches to find people to share your route with.
- naiss shots to keep the moment.
in short
- energy bonus: we pay it, not your passengers, and you get a bigger share of the saving.
- costs: split them however you like, with no price per seat and no commission.
- the trip: better.
naiss makes sharing a car easy and social. download it and make your next trip count.
